The Client: Invoice Insight LLC

Invoice Insight, LLC provides Telecom Expense Management technology and services to enterprise, government, and cost management solution provider clients. The company is headquartered in Northern Virginia with sales offices in Dallas, TX, Milwaukee, WI, and Princeton, NJ.

The Brief:

The previous version of the Invoice Insight website had been live for several years and experienced increasing amounts of traffic as the popularity of the company and its products grew. Although the initial information architecture was fundamentally sound, it became very constricting as the amount of content continued to organically grow. It was determined that the best course of action was to re-architect the site to accommodate new content that was in development and to update the company’s image by doing a complete redesign of the website.

Key Objectives:

• Create a high quality, professional website design consistent with the company's vision for their brand
• Develop easily updateable html templates to facilitate content publishing
• Design a new flexible information architecture to accommodate new and upcoming content
• Construct the final website and include new and original art to convey the depth of the company product set

Solution:

The initial requirements we gathered left us with a considerable amount of flexibility to completely overhaul the website. Once the initial requirements were gathered, we were able to create a course of action to implement the new website within the aggressive timeframe.

Although we didn't have permission to alter the company logo, we were able to create a new color palette for the website that was more aesthetically pleasing. By working closely with the Invoice Insight team, we proceeded to prioritizing the tasks to identify and classify all the elements for the new homepage. By doing this, we were able to identify the relative importance of each homepage element and design mockups accordingly.

The new GUI was developed quickly and smoothly due to the amount of quality time spent with the client to determine their aesthetic vision for their new site. We also spent special attention to the template creation process so that the actual construction of the site was very quick. This also allowed for quick and easy changes down the road.

The final website exceeded the expectation of Invoice Insight especially considering the aggressive timetable. They were so confident with our services that we have already started to scope out additional projects including a logo redesign and a Flash product demonstration.
