case study
The
Client: Fedleaseco, Inc.
Project URL: http://www.fedleaseco.com
Fedleaseco, Inc. is a privately held corporation founded in
1974. For the past 30 years, their business has been to provide
low cost, customer-tailored financing primarily to Federal,
State and Municipal governments.
The Brief:
C:straight Media was selected as the design agency to create
a new company brand and corporate website. Their desire was
for a web site design that would impress potential clients
and reflect their professionalism of service and attention
to detail. Because we were starting from scratch, we also
needed to assist with the domain name registration and help
identify a hosting provider.
Key Objectives:
- Produce a high quality, professional
layout and design
- Create a more "modern" logo treatment
that can easily be used in both online and offline environments
- Devise a clear menu structure to enable
browsers and potential customers easy access to the pages
that are of most interest
- Ensure the site is fully accessible and
compliant with W3C and Section 508 web standards
- Create Structured templates allowing
for easy updating of content
- Develop an HTML email template to be
used to brand all outbound corporate emails
Solution:
Fedleaseco, Inc, although well established in the Washington
DC/Metro area, did not have a very strong corporate identity.
The brief allowed our design team to develop the logo into
a crisp, contemporary visual design that could be extended
out into other media. After the final logo design was selected,
we were able to build off of it for the site creative.
Recognizing that an effective online presence is vital to
any business - no matter what service it provides or who it
is targeting - we built the site to be as impressive and accessible
as any B2C site. It is quick and easy to navigate with no
more information than needed, in keeping with the company's
own high standards of efficiency.
We worked closely with Fedleaseco throughout the design and
planning process to ensure the site met the original objectives.
After an initial kick-off meeting to discuss design preferences
and the site structure, we developed a series of homepage
and subpage designs. Once the designs were signed off by Fedleasesco,
the site was built and reviewed in time to meet the original
deadline. The whole process took less than a month.
Since the site launched, feedback from internal and external
stakeholders has been very positive. On an ongoing basis,
we will provide updates on best practice developments and
look at how the site can be developed further.
